before we proceed to a reasonably complex legal text below, which we have compiled to the best of our knowledge and belief, we would like to explain to you in simple terms the main features of data protection on our blog. This introduction contains some essential points, the complete text and the details can be found below.
We run this little blog as a hobby to share our tours with family, friends and generally travel enthusiasts from the German speaking countries. We ourselves have found many suggestions in outdoor forums or other blogs and would like to return knowledge and tips about our routes to the community. The English version of this website has been created by heavy use of machine translation and some (minor) human intervention – please keep in mind, that the German content is the original and most reliable one.
Your data and the protection of your data are important to us!
We only ask for your data if you want to subscribe to our newsletter or if you want to comment on our posts. With the newsletter we ask obligatorily only for the email address, the name is voluntary and each newsletter contains an option, where you can unsubscribe, if you no longer want to receive it. We use the newsletter service from Mailchimp, a recognized and reputable service provider, with whom we have concluded an order processing contract.
When commenting we ask for name and email or you can log in via your account on Facebook and Google, where of course data is transferred between Lustwandler.at and Facebook or Google. Alternatively you are welcome to use email addresses that do not contain your real name or use pseudonyms when commenting – we are happy to be in contact with you, as you are called in real life, is not so important. For legal reasons, the IP address from which you sent the comment will be logged in addition to the date.
Our site uses WordPress with an Austrian theme and is hosted by the German provider Domainfactory, with whom we have signed a contract for processing orders. Lustwandler.at is connected to the Facebook page facebook.com/lustwandler.at and the Instagram profile instagram.com/lustwandler.at. Your IP address will be transmitted to the providers of services like Facebook, Instagram and Google and they will be able to track you across pages, for example if you are logged in to Facebook and then go to lustwandler.at. From Google we use the Google Fonts for the fonts on our blog and in a few posts embedded Google Maps.
You see, we approach this topic sensitively. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are happy that you are going a bit of the way with us every now and then!
All the best
Elisabeth & Markus
